Loveletter to a Stranger: Artemis II

Seeing Christina Koch on her way to the Moon connected me so deeply with my emotions. I felt the incredible meaning of her journey, not only for herself, but for all women.

Over the last months, I started studying and analyzing the photographs of the Artemis II crew on the NASA website countless times, because photography has always been my primary way of expressing emotions. I imagined what they were feeling in the moments when those pictures were taken and why they chose certain camera settings. I wondered if they looked down at the display, filled with awe, knowing that their images might become part of human history.

When I told my friends about the bond of the Artemis II crew, I sometimes started crying because of their strong and gentle connection with themselves, the universe, and Earth.
